Lawn Mowing & Acreage Slashing in Kelmscott.

From standard suburban cuts to firebreak compliance in the Perth Hills.

Why Choose Us

If your lawn in Kelmscott is getting away from you, you’re not alone. One warm week in the hills and it goes from “she’ll be right” to “how did it get THIS long?” real quick.

ProHill Property Care is a local, owner-operated crew based in the Perth Hills. We don’t just push a mower around; we manage the unique mix of gravel, clay, and rapid growth that makes Kelmscott gardens tricky.

Whether you have a flat block near the station or a sloping bush block up near Clifton Hills, we turn up, we do it properly, and we close the gate when we leave.

A Simple Promise

(The “Hills Local” Guarantee)

I’m Jared. I started ProHill because I got sick of seeing the same story everywhere: people getting ghosted, jobs half-finished, and that vague “I’ll be there sometime between Tuesday and next Thursday” rubbish.

We operate differently. We are so confident in our reliability that we offer the ProHill 100% Satisfaction Guarantee:

“If you aren’t happy with the cut, the edge work, or the cleanup, we will come back and fix it for free. If you still aren’t happy, we’ll pay a competitor to fix it for you.”

That shouldn’t be special. But these days, it is.

Our Lawn Services in Kelmscott & Roleystone

Kelmscott sits in that sweet spot between the suburbs and the bush. That means we offer two distinct levels of service depending on what your property needs.

1. Residential Lawn Mowing (The “House Proud” Cut)

Perfect for residential blocks in Kelmscott, Seville Grove, and the flatter parts of Mount Nasura.

  • Precision Mowing: We use commercial-grade rotary mowers that catch the grass, leaving a smooth finish.

  • Edging is Standard: We don’t charge extra for edging. We vertically trim edges along driveways, paths, and garden beds every single time.

Blow Down: We blow all clippings off your paths and porch. We treat your home like a home, not a job site.

2. Acreage Mowing & Firebreak Slashing (The “Heavy Duty” Cut)

For the larger properties in the foothills, Roleystone, and Bedfordale. Standard push mowers can’t handle the thick Kikuyu or wild oats on these blocks.

  • Ride-On Mowing: We run commercial zero-turn machines that handle slopes and large areas efficiently.

  • Firebreak Compliance: We know the City of Armadale Firebreak Notice regulations inside out. We ensure your firebreaks are slashed to the required 3-metre width and vegetation is kept low to meet the December 1st deadline.

  • Hazard Reduction: Knocking down tall grass to reduce snake risk and fuel load before summer hits.

Why Kelmscott Lawns Are Different (And Why We Know Them)

You can’t treat a lawn in Kelmscott the same as a lawn in sandy Canning Vale. We understand the specific challenges of the hills environment:

  • The Soil Mix: We know how to mow on the heavy clay and ironstone gravel common in the hills without scalping your turf or damaging our blades.

  • The Weed Wars: We know exactly when Capeweed and Winter Grass explode. We can mow at the right height to help choke them out, or knock them down before they seed and take over your paddock.

The Slopes: Mowing a sloping block in Clifton Hills requires traction and experience. We have the equipment to handle gradients safely.

Pricing: What It Costs to Get Mowed

I’m not going to pretend there’s one price for every yard. A quick mow on a flat block is a different beast to a sloped acreage with thick winter growth.

Typical Pricing Factors

  • Lawn Size: Measured in square metres.

  • Growth Length: Has it been 2 weeks or 2 months? (Long grass takes us double the time).

  • Access: Can we get the ride-on through the gate, or is it push-mower only?

  • Clippings: Do you want them mulched back in (good for the lawn) or taken away (cleaner look)?

Shoot us a text with your address and a photo of the yard. I can often give you a ballpark estimate right there on the phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. We specialise in bringing properties up to code for the bushfire season. The deadline is usually December 1st, so please book this in October or November. If you leave it until the last week, we are often booked out.

  • Generally, yes. We have handheld equipment for areas where the mowers can’t go. If it’s a “goat track,” send us a photo first so we know what gear to bring.

  • No. As long as we have access (gates unlocked) and pets are secured, you can be at work. We’ll send you a photo of the finished job and an invoice via email/text.

  • We can. We usually quote “mow & catch” (leave clippings in your green bin) or “mow & remove” (we take it away). Taking it away costs a bit more due to tip fees, but it leaves the place spotless.

  • We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.

  • Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
